Whats going on with Dir. Myung-sae Lee? He is the cinematic stylist, someone says "visualist", in Korea and his filmography is over 10 titles.He recently stepped down from a new big budget film due to a conflict with the production company, JK Pictures. JK says the reality is broken when they watched the shooting scenes compared with the script.
Dir. Lee claims JK ignores the creativity of his direction. Moreover, Dir. Lee registered the script as his copyrights. JK will go to the court.
JK has been making completely commercial films, why JK contracted with Dir Lee. He is already a veteran director, and has his own style. JK thougth Dir Lee would follow its demands obeidently? It is misjudgment. And, his works, M, (2007), Duelist (2005) did not achive commercially success. JK is an idiot.
JK had a press conference, but Dir Lee have not expressed his stance. I want to listen to his voice.
